Comprised of skilled professionals and drivers with extensive backgrounds, the SLT utilizes a fleet of specially equipped Chevrolet Suburbans, which flashing lights, sirens, GPS, and, enabling Code-3 driving operations while ensuring a safe and comfortable journey for the organ procurement teams.
The organ transplant "Pre-Plan" service is designed for patients transplants, facilitating quick flights to organ transplant locations outside their home states. By preregistering with Aeromed, patients’ essential information is stored in our database, allowing for rapid activation when organ becomes available.
When a patient receives word from their doctor about an available organ, they can promptly contact Aeromed Air ambulance to activate their pre-plan. An Aeromed Learjet air ambulance will be ready at the designated airport to take off as soon as the patient arrives. Upon reaching the organ's location the patient is transported to the hospital in an emergency vehicle, lights and sirens activated. The time saved by the pre-plan service is invaluable for organ transplant recipients.
